Jim’ll nix it

Just the other day, several Clogpoppers Predictors gathered together, over a canteen lunch, to ponder the current status of one Sir James ‘Jimmy’ Savile. Well, now we know. Fatal pneumonia at the age of 84.

The bestower of cheap medals* to small children in the 70s who wanted to ride rollercoasters and smash up valuable items, Jim brought either joy or a sense of unease, depending on whether you appreciated his charitable exploits or had watched the rather creepy documentary about his dead mother’s well-preserved wardrobe.

Cigars all round, but Jimmy’s passing means the first points on the board for Matt Lee, who has been expecting this news for several years. If we can track him down, we’ll record his undoubtedly emotional reaction for Clogposterity.
